Can't you see the glow on the window pane?

Ahh, I've been working on my room in the spare time that I have . I should be studying philosophy a lot more, but meh . I have my times .
Did the frame thingy that I've been craving to do for most of the summer. I took a more abstract approach and just did what I wanted . I didn't plan it, like the Youtube guru that I got the idea from did, but hey, it's me who's gotta see the thing everyday, right?
I know you've asked me how this thing was going, Nis, so to anwer your question, here you go:

So here's my take of the perfume/ vanity tray;

Rain against the windows and the strong coffee

Went to Ikea yesterday, just because it was a Friday and I only had an hour of class (woohoo!) . Came across some things I'd been searching for for quite a long time now. Plain white bed sheet, a white candle stand, and a picture frame.

The candle stick, and the frame are of course, being part of my latest craft project, so we'll see how that goes, and where it fits in my (wretched) study schedule. And I thought IG's were tough pressure. (Haha, I joke. Nothing worse than IGCSE's *gagging noises*)

We saw this cute circus themed tent for little tykes in the children's section, and thought that it would be so cute for Fluffy and Boo to hang out in, since they are almost always outside. I put it up inside first, though, to see how it would look like. (I need training in the patience department.)

After a hurricane, comes a rainbow

Went out today, for the nice weekend weather allowed it. One Utama was really amazing, and we got to visit parts of it we hadn't seen before, since we hadn't lived here for quite a while .

Something else, that had been very big happened, and though it was a little traumatic (to say the least), it was a sign, or lesson to be learnt from .
A teacher of mine had told me that it happens to nearly everyone, and the best thing to do is to be 'redha' . It means to be content with something, and accept the situation as it is, and surrender ourselves to Him . Seek refuge and security, forgiveness and happiness .
So with these things, you don't even need to tune to the news on TV to know that there are others who are less fortunate, but still are more grateful, and patient . My own neighbours have been through far worse, and my prayers are with them . I'm going to stop and say that it could have been a lot worse; because it really could have been, and hope for the best .
Thanks Yasmin, for being there when I hadn't quite learnt this yet, and when I hadn't actually been in a peaceful-minded mode . You can count on me, and I can count on you .
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." -Marilyn Monroe

Five days of summer in the rain

I had decided that I hadn't spent enough time outside, so today I actually went outside in the back garden just purely because I felt like it . I brought along my instax camera as well, since I felt like being a hipster today . idk don't judge me

I followed Boo and realised that I actually hadn't snapped an individual photo of Boo in his favourite place yet . I had captured a photo of Fluffy in his frequent space; aka on my bed . There's this specific area in the garden where Boo likes to sit . His commited spot .
I kid you not . He really is commited .

When he notices it starts to rain, he rushes out from under the roofed part of the garden (where his food is served), and sits under a potted plant which I will assume is a fern . And he sits there and watches the rain as it pelts down . I really do not know why .
Strange bunny .

Fluffy just sits under a chair near his plate when he goes outside . He refuses to get wet or muddy . He's the more mellow, clean one, wheras Boo is the hyper, adventurous, one-with-nature rabbit . My granny calls him 'kampung bunny', lol . :')

Anyway, I caught him hanging out in his favourite place . It'll always be one of my favourite pictures of him in the world .

lights will guide you home

So what with the leak and everything, I decided to fix up my room a little . Reluctantly, with orange mini plastic bags as gloves . I can't stand leaving my room the way it was, so redecorating seemed like a great idea .
I also took the chance to put up my shelf I bought from Ikea about three months ago . I left the drilling part to my dad, who just bought a drill but never used it . Took quite a while to put up, but I'm super glad that we eventually did .

I placed several things on the shelf, and hoping that it doesn't collapse . I didn't put it above my bed just in case it did, though . Call me paranoid, but I just am terrified of shelves and I do not know why .

So, um, 1 job done, 67 to go .
Probably .

And the rain; it came and came

Can't sleep now .

Insomnia again, aghh. Have to get used to sleeping early .
Uni is in less than two months .
I'm so bored but, asdfghjkl, I am so nervous .

The book 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' was meh . Or, like, *waves red flag with awkward bashful turtle face .
But I liked the quotes; "We only accept the love we think we deserve", and "...and I swear in that moment we were infinite."
It really, really inspired me to write . I hadn't realised it until shortly before my exams, but I had a passion for writing as well . I'd realised it as I used writing as a way of procrastination against revising lol .

*

The scariest element of the future is the connotations it brings; the aura of mystery, and the unknown that awaits one . Things you once were used to, things you may have neglected to cherish today, may disappear tommorow . The future may bring sadness, but it may also gift joy and happiness . It's like a dice . Sometimes you roll a two; sometimes you roll a six . Either way, it's luck or fate .
Jump; leap, even, to your future, and trust that you will not come crashing down . Take a breather . Take a chance .

I'm coming home, coming home

One of the great upsides to having lived outside of your home country for so long is that you never take your family for granted ever again . You're so used to being only with your immediate family, when you come home, and see your uncle and aunty and little cousins every weekend, you're glad .
I'm so thankful for them, and love them so much .

Had dinner with the whole family at The Chicken Rice Shop, and had fun playing with little cousins and seeing Men in Black 3 HD .
I'd also gotten these body mists from an aunty of mine, who goes to the Airport KLIA frequently as part of her job . She'd gotten them for me because she'd known I'd been longing for these from Victoria's Secret. I loved the fragrances and purses .

A lot of people had recommended the Beauty Rush and PINK line, but they were discontinued as they were released a long time ago . Although you could still order PINK online on their site . But these were just as good, I think; although I can't say because I haven't smelt the others . Sheer Love is white cotton and pink lily, and Secret Charm is honeysuckle and jasmine, which I thought was so sweet .
I think these are great if you're looking for something light, sweet, fun and not too empowering . It isn't as long-lasting as perfumes, but I'm told with these mists, you could put them on your face or hair .
I'm extremely sensetive to products, but I'd had no reactions to it, so I thought that was really good .

Other than these little things, there's really nothing else to report; apart from the fact that I saw a four-foot(-ish) monkey in my backyard garden this afternoon. Pity Fluffy and Boo were napping . But I doubt bunnies and monkeys would make the best of friends .
Oh, and there's been a leak in my room on my bed, and now it smells of things you may prefer not to imagine, and now I'mma sleep on the couch in the living room .
That's all for now x

Don't you ever grow up; just stay this little

I hung around Aemil, my baby cousin for a while as he looked through my stuffed animals .  He stood quietly as he held some of them, unlike most boys of his age . I thought he looked so innocent and cute, pure and so unaware of the little problems that he would have to face when he gets older, that I reached for my camera and took a snapshot of him .
I thought it captured him, his personality, the way he treated Fluffy and, his loving nature and his tendency to overlook anything corrupt .
And suddenly nostalgia washed the insides of me over . I wished that I could join him too, without really knowing the things I do, and having memories I'd rather not have remembered .

Ready or not, here I come

We celebrated Munira's birthday today, and had some fun with Baskin Robbins Ice-cream cake, presents, and Madagascar 3 HD .
The challenge was sneaking my auntie and the cake in. We hid it in the freezer with cubes of dry ice, lol .

Cupcakes galore as well, yums . We ate them as we watched the movie, which was the most colourful one out of the three movies .

The clowns looked a bit...lopsided. But to any consolation, was really good .

And when I referred to the cake as ice-cream, I do mean that it . is . ice cream . Completely .

We may only have tonight

Loving the Saturday feel .
I've been developing this obsession for this song, ever since I saw the ad for one of my favourite perfumes, Estée Lauder Pleasures .
Hence the title of this post. #OnReplay

The ad is probably the best I've seen except those two for Miss Dior ChĂ©rie .

Anyway, enough about my fetish for perfumes and their ads. I got a lot done today .
I had actually made my bed, cleaned 80% of my room (my closet, study and vanity desks are eternally clustered with objects) . I'd actually done a smidge bit more of snapping photographs . This time, with an Instax polaroid camera !

My grandad wanted to congratulate me on my results, and also my sixteenth birthday combined, so he got me the Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s .
The pink one .
Oh, grandad, you know me so well, ahaha .

I took some snapshots that could be a little bit better, but I've read that that's the beauty of polaroid shots- they're not for perfectionists . You snap the memory, not the picture . It's for people who could appreciate the beauty of the picture as is, without forcing it to be perfect .
I'm not used to this idea, because with digital cameras, you could just keep taking pictures until you're satisfied, and delete the others .
I hope in the future I could take better shots, though, haha .

So far, I've only taken two pictures, of my pet bunny rabbits . So I only have 8 left . I'm going to have to be very stingy after this . I can't go to Langkawi every time I need new film shots . It turns out that you could get it for RM34 per packet over there; which is 10 shots . Here they would be around RM48-58, which is so overpriced for 10 shots if you ask me .

I love this camera though, and it's so nice . I'd recommend highly to those who like these types of vintage things . The camera itself isn't costly, but the film might be . It's worth it, in my opinion, as long as you don't treat it like a digital camera, i.e take pictures every few seconds whenever you feel like it .
Well, that's it for today .

I wear my heart where my head should be

I've been up to a lot lately, and that's why I haven't been updating as well as I should have .
So here lies the agenda for the past few weeks for moi;

1. Went on one of the best holidays I've been on,  to Langkawi, with my immediate family as well as my youngest uncle's family .  Sunny, soft sands, swaying green trees and warm sea water .
This was taken in the afternoon, right before rain, after grey clouds started accumulating .

I even brought back what could possibly be a Crush look-a-like! Crush, for those who may not know, is the baby turtle from Finding Nemo; whose catchphrase was "Duuude!".

2. Got my results in the mail today! A thousand times Huzzah! ~

3.  Went prezzie hunting avec ma mĂ©re, for my sister . Celebrated her birthday in a simple way, with molten cake from Chili's . We're celebrating with the whole family; meaning cousins, aunties and uncles later this weekend .

I, of course just had to get myself a couple of things as well . There was a small promotion for buying the gift that I did, so I snagged this cute little yummy lip balm .

Also, I got two pairs of shoes for RM70, at Summit, it was a huge sale . Excellent . I am super duper broke, though . #BowCrazy

4. I got my hands on The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and started reading only the first couple of pages . I'd heard a lot from it; especially the movie, so put it in my summer reads list .
I can't say so far whether I like it or not, because it's too soon to say, but so far, it's nothing special; not to offend anyone in any way .

5. Toblerone obsession . The only other obsession more demanding is for the internet . Le life of a super awkward teen~

6. I've been drawing, and writing in my notebook a lot lately .
Writing and making art is a big part of my life, it's my outlet, and especially since I am not going to Uni or school or anything .

I like using pencils, but try to also use colour pencils as a regular medium too, because, let's face it; I need the practice .

They're all sketches of cartoon characters, because I've had enough of flowers for a while .

*Pineapple = My way of paying homage to one of the greatest cartoon characters ever; Spongebob Squarepants without having to draw him . That's laziness for you .

 7. Remember those flowers I pressed, that I brought back from my trip to Genting? Well, they're flat as paper now . I wanted to say pancakes, because, well, who doesn't love pancakes (not me .)? But really, to be critically correct, they aren't really flat, are they? ):
Anyway, they (meaning the flowers) really and truly look beautiful, although they were prettier when they were fresh .

Their stunning apperance was no doubt preserved . I was planning to frame it, but that would mean buying a drill, and nails, etc . And trust me, that's really not my department if you know what I mean .
Me + drill / hammer/ powerful tool of any sort = disaster awaiting to happen . So I'm staying away from those; at least until I can learn to stop tripping over my own feet .
I think I'm going to scrapbook it or something .
I smell a new project; maybe?

Craft Junkie

I was watching one of my favourite channels on youtube, when I came across this video; DIY Jewlery holders. And being the craft junkie I am, I fangirled and wanted to do it too, but hiuhewhhnasljagdf I haven't been to a craft shop in months.
I haven't seen any at all, which is surprising because everyone is saying Malaysia is just basically made up of craft/thrift stores.

It's so pretty I feel the need to make it. And also, I keep necklaces in a box, and the next time I open them, they always manage to tangle themselves mysteriously and it drives me insane.

I love projects like these just because it gives me something to do, and because I use art and stuff like that as an outlet, since I don't do much else, ahah.

But I need to find a replacement for Rawnaq.

Boo. ♥

Boo has learnt how to hop on my bed. Even though this was so cute, it just means I have to add my bedspread to my laundry load every time (he isn't trained yet).
Asdfghjkl; but he's so cute gah I just can't be mad.

Gru's Minions

Okay, so it's been a while.
As excrutiatingly stupid as this sounds, I've only just found the SD card in my laptop. So all this time, I'd had to upload the pictures onto another laptop, then move them to mine via a usb. *Patrick moment

But that's not all I did this week (but woo, finding an SD card duct/hole/thingy is a massive achievement. Obviously.)

I've been drawing again.
I've gotten inspired by my movie marathon mornings. Ahh, the life of a kid after GCSE's. So I watched a lot of my favourite movies; A Walk to Remember, She's the Man, Bride Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Dear John, The Hunger Games, The Princess Diaries, Just Go With it, Wedding Crashers, The Blind Side, The Parent Trap, Tangled, Up, Lilo and Stitch, Finding Nemo, Toy Story 3, and definitely Despicable Me.

Spent the weekend drawing the adorable yellow creatures known as Gru's minions.

I also hadn't failed to address some really memorable cute characters. I didn't have the time or effort to draw all of them, though.

Results!

I guess to celebrate Raya and all of that, Siti, my sister and I had a fun day out spending our money. In hindsight I probably could have saved it for something more 'important', or 'useful', but I'm not the expert at saving up money, so. *shrugs

We were gone for a grand total of 6 hours. Walking for almost every minute of it, too!
I saw Taylor Swift's perfume, which I've been wanting for almost an entire year now, for those who know me (and sadly had to put up with me whining about it). Could've bought it, too, if it weren't for the previous things I bought. They were just fun things that Siti and my sister picked out for me, with me.

And thanks to you, Anti Nina and mum! :) For this gorgeous purse, I'm so thankful and will appreciate it dearly.

Fluffy's coming home.

I didn't expect much at all today, I'll admit. I thought it was just going to be another day, visiting Fluffy at the quarantine.
But then we all saw how upset he was, and my parents made calls. Turns out, according to another vet, it is possible to get him, but with files and send them to Putrajaya and back. Anyone who knows how much Fluffy means to us would know that we would do it.
So after all of that, Fluffy is now in the car with us, on the way home.
Alhamdulillah, He'a alright, and we have him back. I am so happy right now.

Early summer days

The moment; and I do mean moment- we landed in Malaysia, everything became so hectic and busy.
Starting from the moment Fluffy had to be quarantined, to going home from a jam. The city was just so alive and busy, even at 10:30pm.
I missed this so, so much. Doha was a really small but busy town, but here it's just a hectic large town! And seeing my aunt and uncle's house made me so happy.

Anyway, the hotel that we stayed in was pretty nice. Ramada in Doha.

It was a long flight. Mostly worried about Fluffy, who was in cargo and evrything. I have neve pt a pet in a plane before, so this was sort of (completely) driving me insane with worry. There were quite a lot of bumps,  just suddenly.
But of course, mini TV's, pillows and chocolate and special bags with hand creams and such did make my trip a lot smoother.

And then this was my last sight of Doha; from the plane. Aww, the desert. It's going to be a familiar place I'm going to miss.
